Even though, I like a slick and clean desktop without any windows theme, once in a while I find a really nice wall paper which lures me into spicing up desktop. I found one such wall paper recently from 'Dark Roasted Blend' blog entry on fractals (Url:

MS Zune theme with 'Wildfire' fractal as the desktop wall paper and the calendar is from
Rainlendar.
If it is a work desktop and you want to conserve every bit of computing power but still want a simple and clean looking wall paper, switch to classic windows theme and try the blue pattern below (remember to tile it).
